The diploma thesis deals with life and work of a baroque sculptor Jiří František Pacák in East Bohemia. The thesis focuses on Pacák's artistic beginnings in pilgrimage church in Chlumek u Luže. It illustrates influence of sculptor Matyáš Bernard Braun on Pacák's sculpture production and describes his artistic development in town of Žireč, Žacléř, Polička and other places in the region. The thesis includes a catalogue of Pacák's work

The Renaissance appearance of the chateau in Častolovice This thesis will deal with the appearance of the Renaissance chateau in Častolovice at a time when the owners of the estate were Oppersdorfs of Oppersdorf. This family rebuilt the original fortress into the Renaissance chateau. The major reconstruction took place between the years 1588 and 1615 during the possession of Fridrich of Oppersdorf. The thesis is primarily intended to introduce the apperance of the chateau, which had Frederick and his wife Magdalena of Donín built. First it approaches the historical context of the city Častolovice and the genus of Oppersdorf to relation with the chateau at this time. Then it will pursues the architectual development of the chateau during the property of Oppersdorfs. Finally it focuses on the fresco decorations of the courtyard and also marginally preserved parts of the Renaissance interior. Magazine Krakonoš during the period of Austria-Hungary

Diploma thesis "The Magazine Krakonos During the Period of Austria-Hungary" deals with the development and with the content of the magazine Krakonos in the period of Austria- Hungary. The magazine was published in Jičín during 1872-1875, 1879-1914, 1918-1941. It is the longest-published magazine in the Czech area of those days. Nowadays, the magazine is an important source of knowledge of contemporary life in the area. The author of this thesis describes the historical context as well as social and cultural conditions under which the magazine was published. Afterwards, the author describes the development of the magazine and its publishing and editorial changes between1872-1941. The author uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyse the content of the magazine between 1872- 1918. The results of research are described in the summary.
Hussite movement and Hussites in eastern Bohemia (Outlines of the problem)

East Bohemia significantly enrolled in the history of the Hussite movement at the beginning of the movement, where many of the local nobility protested against the burning of Jan Hus. In 1420, in eastern Bohemia set up a separate Hussite Union (Orebites, then Orphans´ Union). A historic role played East Bohemian Hussites in promoting of results of Hussite movement in the period after 1437. Eastern Bohemia remained the support of Utraquism until the Thirty Years War.
